Forbes 30 Under 30 Recap

Posted in: Business, My Thoughts

There are certain conferences that are not worth going to—this is not one of those. From the get-go, the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit felt different, more refined. The crowd alone was a testament to what the Forbes brand has built over decades. Some might argue it’s all vanity metrics, but what I experienced couldn’t have been further from that. Rubbing elbows with what many would call the next generation of leaders didn’t feel performative—it felt grounded, intentional, and surprisingly human.

Every conversation had weight to it. Every person I met seemed more humble than the last—kind, open, and refreshingly direct about who they were serving and why. And not in a vague, buzzword-heavy way, but with clarity, purpose, and actual results to back it up. There was no showboating, no inflated egos—just people deeply committed to their work and genuinely curious about others doing the same. It was a room full of individuals who didn’t need to prove anything; they were already building it.

This wasn’t your typical entrepreneur meetup—the kind that can sometimes feel like a highlight reel or a rehearsed pitch competition. This was raw and real. You could hear someone’s idea, look them up later, and see the proof in motion. The range of industries alone was enough to spark endless curiosity: podcasting, fine art, consumer products, SaaS, content creation, sustainability, film, music, marketing, cybersecurity, health and wellness—every corner of innovation was represented. And somehow, it all felt cohesive.

There’s something undeniably electric about the under-thirty mindset. It’s a season of life where risk still feels like an invitation rather than a threat. People swing for the fences because they haven’t been told not to yet—or they’ve chosen not to listen. They try harder, dream bigger, climb higher, and push further simply because they believe they can. Nothing felt out of reach to anyone in that room. They saw gaps in markets that frustrated them, injustices that needed solving, or communities that were being overlooked—and instead of waiting, they acted. Obsessively, relentlessly, and with purpose. It was entrepreneurship in its purest form.

What stood out most, though, was how distinct each person was within their niche. No two stories were the same, no two paths identical. You could spend twenty minutes with someone and leave wishing you had two more hours. There was a natural exchange of ideas that didn’t feel transactional—it felt like the early stages of something bigger. Friendships were formed just as easily as future collaborations. And the diversity of thought, culture, and perspective—spanning across countries and continents—made every interaction that much richer.

Trying to quantify four days of that kind of intentional growth and connection feels nearly impossible. It wasn’t just about what you learned—it was about what shifted. The way you think, the way you approach your work, the way you see what’s possible when you’re surrounded by people who are actively building it.

The best part? The Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit is set to return to Phoenix for the next two years, which means this wasn’t a one-time moment—it’s an open door. An opportunity to step back into that room, to reconnect, to meet the next wave of builders, and to continue being part of a community that doesn’t just talk about the future—they’re creating it in real time.
